Volum ("we", "us") operates the Volum iPhone app and https://volumtrading.com. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your choices.
Data we collect
Watchlist: Stock symbols you save are stored locally on your device.
API keys: Finnhub, Massive, and Claude keys you enter are stored locally in the iOS Keychain — never on our servers.
Market data: Quotes, candles, and news are fetched from third-party providers (Yahoo Finance, Finnhub, Massive) and cached temporarily on-device.
Usage: Plan tier and feature usage for quota enforcement (if subscribed).
Payments: Subscriptions are processed by Apple; we receive transaction verification data, not your card number.
How we use data
Display market dashboards, stock research, and trade recommendations
Run trend analysis on price and volume data
Optionally generate AI insights via Anthropic Claude when you provide an API key
Enforce subscription limits and prevent abuse
Third parties
We use Yahoo Finance, Finnhub, Massive (market data), Anthropic Claude (optional AI), and Apple (payments). Data is processed under their terms and our agreements. This website is hosted on Vercel.
Retention & deletion
Watchlist and settings are stored on your device. Delete the app to remove all local data. API keys can be cleared in Settings before uninstalling. Contact support@volumtrading.com for additional requests.
Children
Volum is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
